However, this year there was a bit of an interesting announcement for livestreamers - Minecraft will soon feature Twitch streaming built into the client. No longer will you have to configure XSplit or OBS, you’ll be able to stream automatically straight from the game!
The announcement comes from both Twitch and Mojang as part of a new partnership between the two companies. Although no specific date was announced, the functionality is expected to come to both PC and Mac versions “soon,” whereas PS4 and Xbox One will already have Twitch broadcasting support built-in.
According to GamerHub, Matthew DiPietro, Vice President of Marketing at Twitch, had this to say about their new partnership:
